I built this mining rig in 2021 before Ethereum changed its blockchain model to proof-of-stake. Built using spare parts such as an OEM HP motherboard, spare DDR3 RAM, and spare hard drives. This rig was able to generate a couple of dollars per day in Ethereum at its peak, making it a very humble passive income source. I also used this machine as a NAS (Network Attached Storage).
